The brunch menu itself is a celebration of creativity and taste. Standout plates like the Grilled FF Strip Steak & Sunny Egg combine hearty and fresh elements, while the Dutch Baby Pancakes—both savory and sweet—are showstoppers in themselves. From the tangy and luscious Local Berry Dutch Baby Pancake to the exotically spiced Savory Dutch Baby Pancake with chana masala and cucumber raita, every bite offers an exciting exploration of texture and flavor.
Small plates add to the culinary journey, featuring delicacies like Malaspina Oysters served with a zesty valentina mignonette, crispy latke celery root remoulade, and twice-fried Becker Farm Wings glazed with guava BBQ. These plates are perfect for sharing and sampling diverse taste profiles. The sides are just as thoughtfully prepared—with highlights such as the smoky sorghum & Chinese five-spice slab bacon and creamy cheddar grits with scallions providing comforting counterpoints to the more adventurous mains.
The ambience at Milktooth is as distinctive as its menu—bustling yet intimate, with warm hospitality that makes every guest feel like a regular. This is a place where chatter blends with the aromatic brew of fresh coffee and sizzling skillets, creating a lively and inviting environment. True to its popularity, weekend waits can stretch to half an hour or more, but as veteran patrons attest, the vibrant energy and unapologetically bold cuisine make every minute worth it.
Patrons consistently rave about the quality and originality of the food. Loyal visitor Adam G sums it up perfectly: they make the trek to Indianapolis just to relish Milktooth’s ever-changing, consistently exceptional menu. Surabhi’s praise for the “fancy” yet comfortable feel of the brunch spot and Ethan Leininger’s note on the attentive service underscore the care the team pours into the guest experience. Even those mindful of cost concur—the culinary craftsmanship and atmosphere justify every penny.

For an exceptional brunch experience infused with creativity and warmth, Milktooth stands unrivaled in Indianapolis—offering dishes that excite the senses and a vibe that feels just like home.
Fancy fancy brunch spot in Indy. I was here with a friend for a Sunday morning brunch. They don’t take reservations, there’s a standard wait time of min 30 min. Their speciality coffees are absolutely amazing. We got their notorious fig, gochujang latte. Both are amazing. Their Dutch baby pancakes are definitely worth trying. I ordered their special peach and chantilly pancakes. The portions are moderate and the service is great.
We live 2 hours away and have driven to Indy just to eat here. We probably come to once a month and it’s always a must stop brunch spot. I don’t know how they don’t average 5 stars. The food is always outstanding. The menu changes constantly. If you come during the week you’ll walk right in. If you come on the weekend you better get in line 20 minutes before they open or you aren’t getting a table. Our go to menu items are the ever changing latke and the Dutch baby. Staples. The coffee is some of the best coffee in the city. They had bacon meatloaf on the menu today for the first time that I’ve ever seen it on there and it was 11/10! It has notes of brown sugar, bourbon and coca-cola. I wish I could own stake in this restaurant. You won’t find a better brunch in the state of Indiana.
So good - first went to Milktooth in 2017 and was enamored with the lamb burger they had at the time. Alas revisiting eight years later the burger was not there, but the menu still stays funky and tasty as ever. Started off with the brown butter latte which was as indulgent as it sounds. Had a big brunch spread: had the biscuits with goat cheese which were PHENOMENAL. Got a few sides like the strip and slab bacon which were really tasty (though I’d have preferred more slab bacon as the strips were a bit too dry for my taste). Got the peaches and cream dutch baby pancake which was just the perfect amount of sweet. Love that this places continues to thrive and have a huge following (8 years later and still waited 45 mins for a table).
I was in town from Atlanta, GA for a concert… the concert was great, but I would come all the way back up here just for this place. The hospitality was next level. As for the food… I’ll let it speak for itself on this one… Special shoutout to Joey, Noah, Matthew, Braden, and Josh!
We had a great time! The food and beverages were great and the server was very friendly. For the four of us with coffees, appetizers, and food it was upwards of $175, so the only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I feel like it was slightly overpriced. But my complaints are purely fiscal, as the people, food, and atmosphere were all great!
The food here is excellent, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors that make it a top spot for brunch. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and delicious, making the wait worthwhile. However, be prepared for long wait times, especially on weekends, as it’s a popular place and tends to get crowded quickly. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the service remains attentive despite the rush. A fantastic choice if you have the time and patience to enjoy a quality brunch experience!
